I'll Wait

  Child, I sense your stubborn pride.
  You'll "do it" by yourself
  Without the guidelines given you
  That sit there on your shelf.
  I hardly ever hear from you
  As you've no time for me;
  I sent an angel to your aid,
  Yet, you're too blind to see.
  You have closed the door on me,
  But I've not turned the lock;
   I'll just stand here patiently
  And wait for you to knock.
